""Karma," he [Buddha] often said, "is intention": i.e., a movement of the mind that occurs each time we think, speak, or act. By being mindful of this process, we come to understand how intentions lead to habitual patterns of behavior, which in turn affect the quality of our experience."
Stephen Batchelor, Buddhism Without Beliefs.

Center's Description
Mindfulness Practice in the Tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.

Mindfulness is our capacity to be fully present in our own lives, to be more fully aware of what we are doing as we are doing it. As we develop our awareness, an inner stillness naturally grows. We are better able to embrace the world, better able to respond wisely and lovingly.

Offering programs in Silver Spring, Takoma Park, and Columbia, Maryland, and Chevy Chase, District of Columbia.
