Center's Description
Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center was established in 2000 by Venerable Thich Phap Chon. The main purpose of the center is to provide a place for the Buddhist fellows maintain the Vietnamese Buddhist tradition. Due to this aspiration, the Center has instituted the following action plan:

1. Practice a life style of compassionate non-violence, of mindful consciousness as the underlying foundation for the spiritual and insightful life of the Buddhists.
2. Maintain the Vietnamese traditional culture and high moral standards for the Vietnamese, in concert with the American culture.
3. Promote and encourage the maintaining of the five precepts, not to kill, not to steal, not to engage in sexual misconduct, not to partake in substance abuse, in order to build happiness and peace for the individuals, the family, and society.
