Vajradhara Buddhist Meditation Centre was established on 25th September, 2002 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT). Geshe Kelsang was born in Tibet and studied extensively in the great monastic universities where he earned his "geshe" degree. In 1976 he was invited to teach in England and has since founded over 800 NKT centers throughout the world. His purpose for creating Vajradhara Buddhist Meditation Centre is to spread Kadampa Buddhism in Hong Kong in order to help people find peace and happiness in thier lives. |
