Manjughosha Buddhist Center was founded in 2000 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT). Geshe Kelsang was born in Tibet and studied extensively in the great monastic universities where he earned his "geshe" degree. In 1976 he was invited to teach in England and has since founded over 400 NKT centers throughout the world. His purpose for creating Manjughosha Center is to spread Kadampa Buddhism in Taiwan in order to help people find peace and happiness in their lives. |
