| Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada is located in downtown Toronto in Little Italy, and is the National Temple of the New Kadampa Tradition founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Our Buddhist centre is dedicated to the attainment of world peace by offering everyone the opportunity to develop lasting mental peace through meditation and related practices. You are welcome to take as much or as little as you wish from what is offered.
The spiritual programs at KMC Canada provide practical methods for improving our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind. The year-round meditation classes are suitable for people of all levels from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. The program is open to everyone – young, old, working, retired, singles, couples, and families. The centre welcomes people from all faiths and those who do not subscribe to any faith. You do not have to be a Buddhist to take part in the programs or to benefit from them. We are open to the public Monday to Friday 1pm - 4pm. Please feel free to visit and take a tour of the temple, enjoy some quiet time in our meditation room, or browse our bookstore and read in our café. Everyone is welcome. |
