| Vajrayana Center founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1997 as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union. Our Resident Teacher is Gen Kelsang Khedrub. Ordained in 1995, he has a great depth of understanding and skill in presenting the teachings of Buddha in a practical and enjoyable way.
Vajrayana Buddhist Center began offering classes in Buddhism and meditation in Iowa City in May 2005. These classes are taught by Gen Khedrub and are suitable for anyone who is interested in learning more about Buddhism and the practice of meditation. Each class includes a teaching, guided meditation, and time for questions and answers. Everyone is welcome. Class time: Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00pm. |
