Independent Meditation Center Guide

""Karma," he [Buddha] often said, "is intention": i.e., a movement of the mind that occurs each time we think, speak, or act. By being mindful of this process, we come to understand how intentions lead to habitual patterns of behavior, which in turn affect the quality of our experience."
Stephen Batchelor, Buddhism Without Beliefs.

Center's Description
Baltimore Dharma Group (BDG) is a small, lay Zen practice group.

We seek to open a gate to the practice of peace, understanding, and love, for self and others. Everyone is welcome to attend.

We are affiliated with Mount Equity Zendo, a Zen training center located in rural Pennsylvania, which offers a full schedule of programs and events.

We also collaborate in Zen practice and training with the Zen Community of Baltimore, Clare Sangha, a multi-faith group in the White Plum lineage.
