"Mindfulness practice is very forgiving. It beckons to us to start over again, time after time after time, without judging us for the times we haven't managed to remember to drop in on ourselves."

Center's Description
The Village Zendo, is Dotoku-ji, True Expression Temple.

Dotoku-ji is a community of people who come together to practice in the Soto Zen tradition. We do zazen, chanting services, retreats, workshops and study groups.

Participation is open to all. We welcome practitioners and students of various traditions to join us at whatever level of commitment they wish.

We are in the White Plum Lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi. We are affiliated with the Zen Peacemaker Order and The Buddhist Peace Fellowship.
