"Meditative discipline is vital to dharma practice precisely because it leads us beyond the realm of ideas to that of felt-experience,"

Center's Description
Lincroft Zen Sangha meets at 7pm every Wednesday at the Universalist Unitarian Meetinghouse in Lincroft, NJ. Everyone is welcome, beginners and experienced practitioners. Come at 6:15pm for meditation instruction. Our practice consists of a brief chant, followed by 3 periods of zazen (seated meditation) and kinhin (walking meditation). Zazen may be done in a chair or on a cushion and mat on the floor. While there are usually extra cushions and mats available, please bring your own if you have them. Words of encouragement are provided by our teacher Sensei Merle Kodo Boyd. Small donations may be offered to the Meetinghouse each week.

Our schedule occasionally varies around major holidays or very inclement weather. Please check the website or call 732-291-3966 or 732-708-0103 to verify any changes to our regular schedule.
