Center's Description
Cambridge Zen Center was founded in 1973 and is part of the Kwan Um School of Zen. The Founding Teacher of our School is the Korean Zen Master Seung Sahn, who is called Dae Soen Sa Nim (Great Honored Zen Teacher) by his students. His books include Dropping Ashes on the Buddha, The Compass of Zen,Ten Gates, Only Don't Know and The Whole World is a Single Flower - 365 Kong-ans for Everyday Life.

The Cambridge Zen Center is one of the largest residential practice centers in the United States. It currently houses about 35 people, most of whom are lay practitioners. Many people also come to practice at the Center from the surrounding Boston-area community.
