| Kathok Gonpa is a Tibetan Buddhist retreat center located in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
This center is affiliated with Tra Ling Monastery in Golok, Tibet, and Kathok Monastery in Amdo, Tibet. While the Kathok monasteries practice in the Nyingma tradition, all schools of Tibetan Buddhism are welcome to practice here. Our main teachers are Lingtrul Rinpoche and Tulku Karzang, both Dzogchen masters in the Longchen Nyingthig lineage. They are assisted by Lama Tsundu and Lama Jhampa Shaneman, both Gelugpa practitioners. We are fortunate to have Eric Forgeng as our translator. The center sponsors regular practices, opportunities for retreat, and visits from special teachers. |
