""Karma," he [Buddha] often said, "is intention": i.e., a movement of the mind that occurs each time we think, speak, or act. By being mindful of this process, we come to understand how intentions lead to habitual patterns of behavior, which in turn affect the quality of our experience."
Stephen Batchelor, Buddhism Without Beliefs.

Center's Description
Hartford Karma Thegsum Choling is a place where authentic teachings and practices of the Karma Kagyu lineage are available to anyone who wants to benefit from the study of Tibetan Buddhism and Buddhist meditation. Established in 1997, we are one of the family of Tibetan Buddhist meditation and study centers affiliated with Karma Triyana Dharmachakra. In addition to a weekly Tuesday evening practice and study group (see schedule), we host visits by several Tibetan Buddhist lamas and teachers each year.

Hartford Karma Thegsum Choling is located in the West End of Hartford on the corner of Whitney and Elizabeth Streets, across from Elizabeth Park.
