| The Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Center in Asheville is currently a branch of Kadampa Meditation Center South Carolina (KMC SC) a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose aim is to help the general public to develop inner peace by offering meditation classes and practical Buddhist advice suitable for busy modern life.
The Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Center is dedicated to helping everyone find peace of mind by offering meditation classes, retreats, workshops, free public talks, and community events. Our Center is from the Kadampa Buddhist tradition and our classes are open to everyone; you do not need to be Buddhist to benefit from the practical advice and meditations we offer. People of all walks of life are discovering the immense benefits of meditation to reduce stress, find happiness, and clarify the mind. We are a member Center of the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT), a Buddhist organization based in the West with more than 220 Centers and 1,100 branch locations located all over the world. Although the NKT is a modern organization that was founded in England around 1980, the Kadampa teachings themselves can be traced back more than 1,000 years. |
