| Vijaya Temple is situated in Oakland, a very diversified city at the heart of the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. It is a non-profit organization aimed at spreading True Buddha Dharma to all. The temple provides many services and activities to the community. It host its weekly study group, which consists of sutra chanting, meditation and discussion. We also provide many religious services such as registratin for the blessing light, offerings to the yearly-gods, and sutra chanting services for weddings or funerals. It is believed that a person who registers for a blessing light at the beginning of the year will have a bright year and that a person who offers to the Annual-god at the beginning of the year will have a smoother year. The temple also provides English courses on the Fundamentals of Buddhism, we also hold kung fu classes every week. | |
