""Karma," he [Buddha] often said, "is intention": i.e., a movement of the mind that occurs each time we think, speak, or act. By being mindful of this process, we come to understand how intentions lead to habitual patterns of behavior, which in turn affect the quality of our experience."
Stephen Batchelor, Buddhism Without Beliefs.

Center's Description
The Heart Circle Sangha meets on Sundays from 9:00am to 11:45am.

We offer beginning meditation during the first of three sitting periods during the morning.

We sit from 9:00am to 11:00am. Each sitting period is 30 minutes followed by 10 minutes of walking meditation.

During the second and third period meditation, interviews are offered for anyone with questions or working on koans.

At the end of the third sitting period there is a short Buddhist service which consists of some chanting.

Following the service, there is a short talk followed by a discussion until 11:45 am.
